About Us

WHO:

The Winnipeg International Children’s Festival is a charitable, non-profit, community-based organization.

WHAT:

Our mission is to provide a diversity of world standard performing arts and participatory activities that are educational, entertaining and accessible to young people from all social, economic and ethnic backgrounds.

WHERE:

With more than five million visitors each year, The Forks is the most popular gathering place in all of Winnipeg. This historical landmark is located where the Red and Assiniboine Rivers meet and is one of the most beautiful, natural, and popular public places in the city. Having served as a meeting place for thousands of years, this is the perfect environment to host the Winnipeg International Children’s Festival as we create a dynamic, positive community atmosphere.

WHY:

We, at the Winnipeg International Children’s Festival, are concerned about the kinds of entertainment provided to the children of Winnipeg. We want to give them a festival that is totally packed full of positive, educational entertainment that is fun to watch in a community environment crafted just for them. Together with our many corporate sponsors, supporters and volunteers, we believe in creating a unique experience to enrich the lives of children through the arts.
